The Cayenne S is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with a maximum power output of 468 hp and a drag torque of 442 lb-ft.. V8 engines stand for exceptional power output, high torque, smooth operation and a characteristic sound.
PASM allows electronic adjustment of the damping control system and is standard on all Cayenne models. It actively and continuously adjusts the damping force according to the road conditions and driving mode. For reduced body shell movement and more comfort in every seat. The settings available are Normal, Sport and Offroad as well as Sport Plus in combination with the Sport Chrono package.
The enhanced adaptive air suspension with full load-bearing air-spring struts in 2-chamber technology allows for an even greater combination of comfort and sportiness while at the same time maintaining the same ride comfort. The level system helps to maintain a constant ride height. By adjusting the height of the chassis, the ground clearance can be varied as required, for example during off-road use. The rear end can also be lowered for easier loading of the luggage compartment.
Whether you're in the driver's seat or a passenger: Driving a Porsche should feel like a sport while still offering great comfort. The Cayenne models manage this balancing act effortlessly: thanks to the enhanced chassis and technologies that adapt the chassis even better to the intended use — such as off-road use. Examples include the adaptive air suspension, the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) for active roll stabilization and the rear-axle steering.
The high-resolution HD-Matrix Design LED Headlights in Black offer outstanding lighting performance with more than 64,000 pixels and fit seamlessly into the GTS design with their refined look.
Standard 20-inch and other 21- and 22-inch wheels optimize handling with a new tire size. Fundamental revisions to the chassis and a new adaptive air suspension ensure both greater comfort and increased performance. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard on all models.
Depending on the model and equipment, the spacious luggage compartment offers up to 27.3 ft³ storage volume. The luggage compartment can hold up to 60.3 ft³ thanks to the 40:20:40 folding rear seats. The cargo management system is available on request: a variable system for the secure transport of items in the luggage compartment. It includes two attachment rails integrated into the floor of the luggage compartment and a partition net.
A Porsche stands for personal lived experience. The Porsche Driver Experience display and control concept gives expression to this conviction: with steering wheels that also integrate the operation of the assistance systems and other modes. And with a fully digital instrument cluster. For more focus on driving.
Typically Porsche driver-oriented in the style of the Porsche Driver Experience: The digital instrument cluster with a 12.6-inch curved display places the displays concisely in the field of vision. Various display formats can be selected: typical round instruments, map section in the central round instrument, full area navigation map, reduced view and the optional view with Night Vision Assist in the center.
While the instrument cluster and the central display are tailored to the driver's seat, the optional 10.9-inch touchscreen display is on the passenger side. It provides access to navigation and infotainment functions, among others. It can provide assistance with route planning as well as insight into the data of the instrument cluster. Videos can be streamed on the front passenger display while driving — which are only visible to the front passenger.
Infrared thermal image displayed in the instrument cluster. Provides the driver with information beyond the range of the headlights. Detected pedestrians, deer, and other large wildlife are highlighted in yellow. Pedestrians within critical range are highlighted in red, and the driver receives an audio/visual warning.
Uses the rear radar and, where system limitations allow, warns the driver when reversing slowly of oncoming traffic when the parking aid is activated. The system warns, for example, of critically approaching vehicles when leaving a perpendicular parking space. The information is provided in stages – visually on the PCM screen, audibly and, if necessary, with a jolt of the brakes.
Radar- and video-based technology that monitors and automatically regulates the distance from the vehicle in front as required even down to a halt by means of the stop-and-go function (usable at 19+ mph). Additional functions: audible warning if too close; warning by active jolt of the brakes; strategic braking; visual and audible warning if pedestrians are detected within collision range.
